The Emery Allen Turtle-Friendly bulbs are approved for use in areas requiring artificial lighting adjacent to ecologically sensitive areas, sea turtle nesting beaches, migratory corridors, and Dark Sky Friendly communities. Turtle Bulb LEDs have an amber color for safer illumination. Per the Florida Wildlife Commission, bulbs must be installed in a shielded or downward directed location that shield the light source from being directly or indirectly visible from the nesting beach.
Its long life is ideal for bath lights, pendants, ceiling fixtures, chandeliers, and outdoor lighting applications. All Emery Allen bulbs are 25,000 hour rated and have a limited lifetime warranty.
The EA-MR16-3.0W-60D-AMB is a 3 watt turtle friendly lamp with a GU5.3 base that provides 29 lumens of 560nm wavelength turtle friendly amber light in a 60º beam angle.
